2003 was the year that Raging Stallion galloped across the porn landscape with hot flick after hot flick ("NeXus," "GayDreams," "Take It Like a Man," and the award-winning "A Porn Star Is Born"), breaking out of the sex-only productions they had built the studio on, broadening their scope with flicks that had more themes and sets ("A Porn Star Is Born," for example, shot a sex scene on a real yacht under the Golden Gate Bridge). But of all their releases in 2003 "A Porn Star Is Born" probably the best all around ( http://mannet.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=000886 ), but the little video that could, "Downright Dangerous," remains my 2003 RSS favorite ("Raunchy. Sweaty. Heavenly."). Michael Brandon fucks him with his Monster, and Parker couldn't have been more receptive.

I just want to clarify that my commentary thus far about my picks for the years in question (2000 through 2009) have been casual musings -- I am not picking what I consider to be the best videos of those years as some of the other bloggers involved in this effort are, I'm merely commenting on some of the noteworthy videos for those specific years that stand out for me for any number of reasons -- I couldn't pick one video that represents the whole year, as each year has hundreds of great productions from which to beat one's meat to.

 

2002 was a banner year, the year that I am now at discussion-wise, and I must say that two men stood heads and shoulders above the rest in my view: Colton Ford and Tony DeFina. Colton's gorgeous, versatile both sexually and musically, and has an ass that won't quit and thick dick to take over when his ass needs a rest -- he's the real deal. Also in 2002, Mr. Tony DeFina was brought to my attention, and I've been dreaming of (and attending to other nocturnal activities) with this hot Italian-American bombshell ever since. His flick, "Muscle Lust" (Xco) is all about a cocky muscle dude showing off his hot fuckin' bod, and Tony doesn't disappoint. 2002 was the year when a great deal of other muscle-focused videos (Big Blue, Dynamite), Brazilian (MarcoStudio) and Eastern European (Csaba Borberly, Herve Handsome) product starting hitting the market, as well as a bumper crop of all-American jerk-off material from industry stalwarts Falcon and Studio 2000, and the like. Most of the muscle up-starts Big Blue, MarcoStudio and Xco went on to release some of the best muscle videos in the past few years.

2001 a Fuck Odyssey. 2001 was a year with a coupla hot re-imaginings, and an island-based fuck-a-thon. My picks for 2001 are three flicks that couldn’t be more different, but pornolicious all. The first is Chi Chi LaRue’s “The Back Row,” a remake of a 1972 Jerry Douglas joint, and Mama Chi Chi did an excellent job of updating the classic while respecting (!) the original ( http://www.mannet.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=000307 ). The second is a real nut-buster (in a good way), Kristen Bjorn’s “The Isle of Men” -- ManNet reviewer Martin Cox gives the blow-by-blow ( http://mannet.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=2&t=000383 ), but it’s notable for featuring a young and horny Arpad Miklos, and, yes, he was already a force of nature, and sexy motherfucker of the year, or any year, Dan Dirk (what I wouldn’t give to suck on those thick pecs). Last to be mentioned -- but certainly not the least -- is "Sea Men: Fallen Angel IV" (TITAN), a raunchy re-imagining of director Rainer Werner Fassbinder's 1982 homoerotic classic "Querelle" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Querelle ). “Sea Men” is not just one of my 2001 picks, but one of my all-fucking-time favorites. I’m a kinky fuck, and this was one of the first Bruce Cam flicks that got down and dirty, raunchy and filthy. As a participant in the Decade of Gay Porn group blog effort, I thought I’d feature ManNet reviews for videos for the decade in question, 2000 through 2009, My first pick is Titan’s “3 Easy Pieces,” from 2000, a three-scene stunner featuring three hot three-ways. The flick stands out for a couple of reasons, it was the beginning of seeing hairy butch guys in mainstream gay porn (Austin Masters, Ric Hunter), as well as spectacular ethnic men (Van Darkholme). An aside: I initially met Austin Master while he was walking his dog in West Hollywood around the time this movie was being made and remember how incredibly blue his eyes were (and a damn nice guy too).
